Congress, BJP in close contest as Karnataka counts votes in local body election

The Congress won 560, BJP 499, Janata Dal(Secular) 178, and independent candidates bagged 150 seats in the results declared on 1,412 out of 2,664 seats in the 102 urban local bodies.
